Betty Beedy Reconsidered.

I was holding my noise when I went into the El Paso County Commissioner's meeting, because there is always the stench, special interest politics and business of payoff. When I entered I noted the presence of David Byrns the Director of El Paso County Department of Social Services, a man with a mission. His one major accomplishment as a master administrator, over the last three years has been to avoid the long due arrival of a grand jury to look at his department.

His mission today is to cover his ass as one of the youth treatment facilities, the Cleo Wallace Center is under attack for fraud and corruption, a usual charge in the waste filled world of non treatment and cowardlyness in the face of the enemy in the war on the poor.

They were caught taking too much for too little. Beedy, being in charge of looking at oversight was asking hard questions. She had read the law, listened to the complaint and was trying to help the children all of which upsets her fellow commissioners. For years the Commissioners have been an elephants' graveyard for sagging Republican careers, a safe place to hide and vote no from. And then they allow the usual criminal lawyers, judges, and contractors to loot the public purse. Not so Beedy, she is standing up for her constituant's rights.

Judge Toth finds that a commissioner ought not to help people in trouble but rather act as a dummy at meetings. The judge admonished the County Commissioner for advocating for her constituant. The judge, a real jurist, has not heard of the Separation of Powers that the Constitution talks about, the Commissioners sit at his askance.

His lament, thoug,h has not gone unchallenged, the informed Ms. Beedy mentioned the separation of powers clause as demanding that the representative of the people represent their constituants.

Bensing blood in the water, Commissioner Jeri Howells decided to strike a pre-emptive blow. She interrupted Beedy accusing her of paranoia. An out of the blue insult spat across the table, a typical woman on woman attack. Men, if they attacked that way, would come to blows: women, feel its their duty to express feelings of hatred. Beedy carries on saying that the commission was sitting in jeopardy of being sued because they refused to have a citizens review board in place.

Commissioner Brown, the aged representative of the water real estate interests, wants to hurry the proceedings. Commissioner Brown suddenly has people to come and sit on the board. The positions were open for two months and there were nine applicants, suddenly, Howell's straw dog, Ms. Smith, an old process addicted Republican activist wants more seats. Large review boards are known to be easy to manage, everyone's agenda has to met and no one's rights are thought of.

As our readers know the El Paso Department of Human Services is rife with corruption the courts are filled, dishonest lawyers, judges, and psychologists who could care less for the rights of the accused, and a county attorney who is only interested in contracts waiting after the job or the gravy train is derailed.

This is a thirty million dollar budget, not exactly chump change to fight over more like a tip at the lawyers Bar up the street.

Beedy is trying to look after the taxpayers and the family rights of her area and is treated like a redheaded step child. In El Paso County the rest of the commissioners spend like Democrats and talk like Libertarians, it's politics of one party democracy. Socialism on the right has its own name: National Socialism.

Beedy asks hard questions of Byrn and he says how he investigated that the children at the Center were not being harmed, only the taxpayer was being swindled. His kidney tap into money is not in danger but his competency is in question, here is a man who cannot keep staff; whose middle management is running wild over everyone's rights.

The large man is happy that Beedy hasn't skinned him alive this time and quickly public comment is called for.

Jim Alice Smith is a killer old lady, the great grandmother who is the stalking horse for Byrn and any other interest that her parrot, Commissioner Howells deems profitable. She wants any review board or panel replaced with a broad based group that will reflect everyone's views. This is a panel that hears complaints of individual violations of the rights of people dealing with the Department of Human Services. Smith wants the rights of social workers, policemen, fire fighters and other government officials to be addressed as well as racial minorities, the sexually challenged and animals(gerbils excepted.)

Suddenly Jones, who is Black, wants more of his people on the commission, so why rush this thing? They have only been in violation of Federal Statute for three years, more time and statutes of limitations running out daily on families mean nothing to this man of no real substance, only color. Jones is the political descendant of such great politicians as Adam Clayton Powell, Willie Brown, and Mayor Marion Barry.

Susan Shell spoke to Beedy's idea of helping people now rather than diffuse ideas later. Children are being ripped from womb by out of control social workers and no complaints are registered because women like Smith use process abdication to avoid systemic responsibility and accountability.

Sandy Tourcott Schaeffer then got up and supported Beedy because of the abuses by the Department of Human Services that she has had to deal with. The families made homeless and childless by lying psychologists and social workers come to her door for housing. She gets no government money, since Colorado Springs has Republican chiselers running things by trickle down the housing for the poor, disabled, and unlucky is very limite. The poor who are need to serve the better off as waitresses, prostitutes and Seven Eleven clerks, but the hours are limited.

Sandy simply doesn't want the County to do what the law tells them to do because she has one of three class action law suits brought on by the lack review of The Department of Human Services. She would like the County to abuse statute but they will avoid doing so until they have to pay out real money. So she says keep bickering, the Civil Rights of the people ought remain in the background while easy profits for the industrial psychology complex must be maintained. Beedy is appalled that her office is so responsible for waste. Brown has decreed from the geriatric ward that the old rich must save pennies so their children can pay out tax payer collected lumps sums.

the El Paso County Commissioners are playing with fire, they are running a dirty, corrupt system without checks and balances. They spend vast sums to do nothing to help children, all they do at best is enslave kids to a system run by agendas and pseudo science. Beedy, who is no Saint Joan is simply trying to do her job, something that Water Bringer Brown and the rest of the gang that couldn't govern straight are by their incompetence, rudeness, and poor business practice unable to do. After all these men and women are the bright lights in the one party system in Christian Country they reflect the best of Maoist government principals, sort the Gang of Four cross dress western.

The real shame is on us who pay wages to non workers like Brown, Howells Jones et al to pose resting on shovel handles as representatives of anything except special interests and the ever present lawyer.
